A Note from the breeder, Katherine
Life before BREEDING and raising absolutely DIVINE DOODLES
I made all the classic mistakes, I am not a big alpha person, I have had to put down 2 dogs due to my ignorance. Dogs like Lassie don’t just happen. When I got my black lab, Maggie, my hands were raw after my first obedience class from all the pulling a 6month old excited pup could do. I knew I had a lot to learn.
Enter my new best friend Jeri, dog trainer extraordinaire and now a certified Zoo therapist. Together we taught a lot of dog classes, held special events, attended dog seminaries and learned about reward based clicker methods. We were using this cutting edge new technology to train dogs.
I got to work with hundreds of dogs and different breeds. About this time the doodle was making a splash in the breeding world. I decided to adopt Morgan. No shedding! What a difference from all the other breeds I had had.
We moved to Sackville NB to be close to human grand babies. Thus began my search for breeders to work with. That was also an eyeopener to see how other people or kennels run their programs. Some good some not so good. It is important for you as a buyer to get inside the breeder’s home and see what they provide. After all, your puppies life starts with the breeder.
I do just one or two carefully planned litters a year. This allows me to spend quality time with each pup. Each litter is an interesting journey. In my spare time I am an artist and musician. ( Sackville Art Association and the Mt Allison Choral Society). I am blessed to have a family and team of people ( breeders, vets, vet technicians, natural and holistic help, nutritionists, trainers and biologists ) I can continue to learn from, who support my passion, to help bring you the best pup, a New Brunswick dog, a Divine Doodle!
